DISCOVERY MINING DELIVERS ITS QUARTER BILLIONTH FREE TIFF IMAGE

Still the Only Electronic Discovery Company to Offer Free Tiff Imaging to Its Customers

SAN FRANCISCO, February 5, 2008 — Discovery Mining, a leading Automated Discovery technology company exhibiting at the LegalTech Conference this week in New York, today announced the delivery of its quarter billionth free Tiff image. The company began offering free electronic document Tiff imaging in January 2007 for online legal discovery review. As the cost of E-Discovery continues to rise, Discovery Mining continues to innovate in order to eliminate costs for services providing little or no value to its customers and the online review process.

Discovery Mining, provided as a hosted software model, stores, categorizes, searches and presents documents to organizations involved in litigation, investigation, regulatory response, or mergers and acquisitions. Customers include top law firms and corporations across the United States and Europe.

Discovery Mining’s unique technology enables Tiff images of electronic documents to be generated during the front-side document processing stage, the preparation stage before the legal discovery review. Conventional E-Discovery systems typically complete the creation of Tiff images at the production stage, after the review, and include a fee per image.

“Our customers rely on us to provide exclusive functionality that makes their review process as easy and seamless as possible,” said Matthew Work, CEO, Discovery Mining. “They are under tremendous pressure to reduce costs, which continue to increase due to the sheer volume and complexity of electronic data. At an average price of four cents per Tiff, we have now saved our customers 10 million dollars.”
