Discovery Mining Announces Foreign Language Search and Review Capabilities for Electronic Discovery

Foreign language functionality in Discovery Mining Review Engine 8.0 facilitates complex, multi-national electronic discovery search and review.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, February 8, 2007 – Discovery Mining, Inc., a leader in electronic discovery technology, today announced foreign language support for keyword search, document review, annotation, tiffing, and text and meta-data extraction in Discovery Mining Review Engine 8.0. As the globalization of electronic discovery rises, law firms and corporations now need to review across multiple languages. Discovery Mining supports over 100 languages, including Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Russian, Japanese, and Thai, firmly placing the company within the top tier of those few electronic discovery companies with foreign language capacity.

"The comprehensive scope of our foreign language support includes keyword searching even in languages that do not have whitespace word separation, such as Chinese and Thai, and solves the graphical difficulties inherent in mixing right to left languages such as Arabic, with left to right alphabets like Cyrillic within the same matter," said Sam Carter, Director of Product Management, Discovery Mining. “This attention to detail will ensure a more accurate review for our clients.”

Highlights:

“Discovery Mining works with Amlaw 200 firms and Fortune 1000 corporations for whom foreign language capability is a ‘must-have’, not a ‘nice-to-have’ requirement.” said Andrew Jenks, Vice President Sales, Discovery Mining. “We are thrilled to be able to accommodate clients who process and review massive volumes of multi-language data. This capability, coupled with our European presence, positions Discovery Mining well for our clients with particular international needs.”
