Junior Systems Administrator

We're looking for an intelligent and competent systems administrator who will thrive in a dynamic environment. Someone who is up to the challenge of joining a team responsible for an expanding infrastructure and devoted to maintaining uptime in our 24/7 web services environment.
As a Junior Systems Administrator at Discovery Mining, expect to get your hands dirty with: Linux servers (we have hundreds!), desktop support, IP phones, printers, patch panels, cables, racking new hardware, returning and servicing bad hardware, etc. You will not be bored, we can guarantee that. You love to solve technology problems in general, so it doesn't matter if you're troubleshooting the fuser on a laser printer or researching and obscure error code in Apache, because this kind of work stimulates you either way. An ambitious and competent person can expect to eventually have the "Junior" removed from their title once they've proven their worth to the team. In short, we're looking for an entry level sys admin who may be heavy on enthusiasm and intelligence but light on experience. You don't need a long resume, just a love Linux and computer hardware. Perhaps you're even just a "hobbyist" right now who has set up a cluster at home just for fun.
Requirements:
- You love Linux and know your way around Windows.
- Enthusiasm for PC hardware assembly and repair.
- Working knowledge of Perl and/or shell scripting
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
